Réformateur. - Neveu du primat de Pologne Jan Łaski (1455-1531). - Évêque de Vesprin.
- En 1538, il se convertit au protestantisme et se marie. - Devant fuir la Pologne,
il s'installe en 1542 à Emden et devient surintendant de l'Église de Frise orientale.
Obligé de fuir à nouveau en 1548, il s'installe en Angleterre où il devient surintendant
de l'Église allemande (en fait hollandaise). L'accession au trône de la reine Mary
le contraint encore au départ : l'Église hollandaise se réfugie au Danemark, de là
à Emden, et finalement à Frankenthal dans le Palatinat.
